Ok, Summer has OFFICIALLY started

Hello and Goodbye everyone!

I'm leaving for LAI in oh, like 15 minutes (so this will be super speedy – my mom says that we have to get going). I think I've had a good morning so far: including lovely honey nut cheerios, my dad reading over my shoulder, and finishing up the last bits of packing. (Don't worry, he's gone now)

Sounds like I'm ready to go. I will miss you all so so much! But don't worry, I'll be back. And I'll be sure to report about all I did on this trip/missions trip.

Ahh, so much to say, so little time!

Peace out! Soli Deo Gloria,

Cleaning, Laundry, Packing, and Stomach Growling

Hello, mi amigos :)

The above is exactly what I will be doing all day (minus the stomach growling, because I'm going to go fix that in a second). Not that you want to know... Haha :)

Anyways, I apologize for the weirdness of my blog, but it definitely has like weird dates and gets all confusing on you. So officially, today is Saturday, June 27, 2009, which is right, but the last post is labeled as Saturday, June 20th, when it was actually just two days ago (Thursday).

I think what happened is I started those drafts on the Saturday before… so that's what they're labeled as. Cool - Now I know what not to do.

Too keep you all in the loop: Yesterday I spent the entire evening packing and watching Korean Drama's with the family! I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH! Although the Shopping part was uber tiring – at least I know finally have a comfy pair of jeans and some cute board shorts.

(A note on the board shorts: I have had such a hard time finding them in the past and always asked my friends, who never had a clear answer. My solution to all your confused and restless ladies is this: TJ MAXX. (sp?) Yeah, I totally got a pair of uber cute Roxy boardshorts for 15 bucks. They had other kinds too, but the supply was getting low, so I'm betting they'll have some more in a few days. Anyways, from now on, that's where I'm buying my board shorts. I love them – they are so cute!)

Packing may take a long time, because I'm actually packing for like 6 weeks or so, but I'm excited to get into the groove and get all started. My little sis and I will probably work together, which would be fun. I'm hoping I get some time to play with my siblings before I leave – I didn't realize how much I was going to miss them until I just sat there thinking about it last night.

Wow- I'm going to miss them a lot. So I better appreciate them while I still can, you know?

I heard today from a friend that I'm in an awesome dorm (at Camp Bighorn) with a bunch of my uber incredible friends. I am officially stoked (That's pretty much the coolest word at Bighorn… oh wow J ) !!!

I'll update you all very soon on how stuff are and how LAI went. I might sent a little message tomorrow night, but I'm not so sure. If not, you'll hear from me in a week!

Hugs,

Patty <><

Summer... IS... HERE.

Hey Everyone :)

Oh, finals are over, the birds are chirping, and the sun is shining.

Ok, maybe NOT.

Finals ARE over, but I don't hear any birds, and it's definitely not all sunny. But, it doesn't matter because the fam and I are going to Bell Square for some Family time (Up, here we come!).

Last night's LAI meeting/work thing was awesome: Team Bonding, anyone? (Yes - Bonding. Team, Bonding.) Haha :) Oh, good times.

And afterwards we went to starbucks and I successfully entertained the confusedly weirded out barista when I asked for a "Smiley Face" at the bottom of my Grande Kid Temperature Caramel Apple Spice. Such is the life.

I also read over my last blog and found some grave errors: Care Packages is not spelled with a "c" without a "k". So my new fave item? This video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EYAUazLI9k (at first it was like, what's going on, but then, wow, those people are so good! I love show dancing! Notice the ripples.), and CARE PACAGES. (Hint. Hint.)

I like them big, I liked them small, I liked them decorated with stars and stickers, or just plain and white. I like them with cookies or smoothies or puppies inside. I also like suprises, so if anything is not mentioned above... well, feel free to send it to me :). I also enjoy letters (And I actually will write back!).

On another note, LAI is in 4 days. I officially have a lot of shopping to do to get ready. If I don't see you before I leave... I will see you in August!

And if you want to hear more updates from me, just add yourself as a follower to my blog! Ooops. Gotta go, sorry this is so short- Up and Bell Square are calling my name (Actually, it's more like my Dad, but... same diff.)

Loves to all!

Something Old, Something New

hi y'alls :)

I guess some things never change. Like the fact that every year we get older and bigger (well, some of us don't get bigger, but most do) and grow up a little more. I might just be a little sad since all the seniors are leaving us (they're last day was thia last week). We all rushed to get our yearbooks signed (some people wrote some really nice stuff in mine... I was on the verge of tears) and then we had the farewell assembly that actually did make me cry. As in buckets. As in sobbing buckets of tears.

SO SAD. Yet, they're moving on to bigger and better things, so I'm actually super happy for them! :)

Ok, so sorry for not posting this sooner (I've been like editing it/working on it every now and then) but now it's officially SUMMER! YES! And tomorrow I can sleep in as much as I want (Actually, not really, but whatever. Humor me.)

I started really thinking about Summer and getting ready last night, and can I confide in you guys something that makes me really happy that might be just a little weird?

Packing Lists.

No joke! I officially love them. They're all organized and pretty colors and all that fun jazz. Plus, there's those little boxes you can check off, and checking them off just makes me feel so much more prepared. Ok, little rave done here.

A lot of people have been talking about how I won't see you at all this summer, so I thought I'd put up my contact info. Call me, send me letters or carepackages (I like gummy bears :), or just comment on my blog below! I'd love to keep in touch with all of you - and I especially love letters (AND CAREPACAGES).

Send all your mail to:

I'm leaving for Montana July 4th and will probably be back around a month or so later. I will totally let you know the exact date when we're a little closer.

Other than that, there isn't much else to say :) Tonight's the second LAI (Local Area Impact, the Down-town Seattle missions trip) meeting, and I'm excited to do some more team bonding and work things. I'll tell you all about it next time :) And today, again, was the last day of school. Goodbye guys, for the summer! Keep in touch!

Soli Deo Gloria :)

It's Almost Time... Just a little bit left!

Hello Everyone :)

It's wednesday! The Last official block wednesday of the year! My math class nearly went crazy towards the end of the day, but we somehow made it through and are counting down the hours until we're done for the summer. All we have left to face are the dreaded finals, which my parents tell me I actually do have to study for.

Darn it.

But it's all good - Only one more week and then I'm done! No more Chemistry, no more Logarithms, no more stoichiometry and calories and kilojoules. Kinda sounds like a song or something... hmmm.

Speaking of songs:

a) I wrote Kenzie Gissing (one of the most incredible girl's I know) a song about her, our two friends, and me and will be performing it on the last day of school with a boa and a fedora if it all works out :) Oh, the joys of summer.... :)

and b) "You've got a friend in me" is interminably stuck in my head. Learning to play it on the piano and singing with it is awesome though, but tough.

Not that you needed to know any of the above, but it was what was going through my head.

But now on to the actually important/well, ok not important, but what you probably came to read, so kinda important stuff. So as many of you know, my summer is going to be crazy!

School get's out next Wednesday (cue Tears of Joy), followed the next Monday by LAI, the Local Area Missions trip that my youth group goes on. It's a trip that focus' on local missions (such as WorldVision and soup kitchens and helping out the elderly community) and the church sponsors and leads. I'm super excited for this since all the people going are absolutely incredible: building relationships, worshiping, serving, and just letting God change me this summer, and especially at LAI and Camp Bighorn (the next place I'll be telling you about) is going to be so awesome.

I get back from LAI July 3rd at around ten at night, and will be leaving to be staff at Camp Bighorn in Montana July 4th at around 5 in the morning (don't worry, I'll just sleep in the car... next to two crazy, ADHD ridden young boys....).

And then you won't see my for 5 or so weeks as I serve the wonderful Campers at Camp Bighorn :)

Ok, so apparently I have to run (+ I am callin g Csmp Boihgotn at this very mohiyment... oops... multi-tasking is not working!)

Loves to you all!

Patty
